Dr. James L. Chestnut has been studying human wellness for over 20 years. He has a Bachelor of Physical Education degree, a Master of Science degree in exercise physiology with a specialization in neurological adaptation, and a Doctorate of Chiropractic. This combination of teaching, scientific research, and clinical experience makes Dr. Chestnut uniquely qualified both as a wellness doctor and as a lecturer who has the ability to interpret research and communicate it in an easily understandable and clinically applicable format.

Dr. Chestnut has been called a scientific prophet regarding his work to validate the global physiological effects of subluxation complex and the chiropractic adjustment. Recently his book 'The 14 Foundational Premises™ for the Scientific and Philosophical Validation of the Chiropractic Wellness Paradigm' was recognized with an award of distinction from the International Chiropractic Association (ICA) as a significant contribution to the scientific literature validating chiropractic and is now being used as a textbook in chiropractic colleges.

The ICA has also appointed him chair of their new Committee on Research and Validation as well as chair of their new Council on Wellness Science. In addition, the ICA has endorsed Dr. Chestnut's postgraduate certification program "The Wellness Practice™ - 21st Century Chiropractic" which is now the first and only recognized continuing education wellness certification in chiropractic history.

Dr. Chestnut's mission is to combine scientific research and the traditional philosophy of chiropractic to contribute to the education, validation, elevation, and unification of the chiropractic profession. He currently lectures around the world , we are honored to have him share his insights with us at the Philosophy Forum.
